Children united for refugees in Brixham

Today the children from the churches of Brixham (All Saints, Brixham, St Mary’s, Brixham, the Community Church and Brixham Baptist Church), walked through the town to raise money for refugee families. I met them at noon as they finished and it was brilliant seeing hordes of children and young parents pouring into St Mary’s, all sporting Christian Aid red t-shirts and carrying red balloons. The money they have raised is going to help support refugee families, including those from Syria. Seeing the joy on the faces of the children contrasts with the plight of so many of the Syrian families where children have lost parents or siblings in the civil war. Three cheers for the children of Brixham and for all they are doing to help!
